Walking the Horse! by maggiemae

Walking the Horse!

Met these two on a brisk afternoon walk. The miniature horses looked as if they could do with more walks. They can be ridden by a two year old and that is all so walking the horses must be a daily program!
Really cute capture ... so they must be walked daily?!! I am wondering if being out in pasture doesn't provide enough exercise. No ... probably not. They're lovely and you caught a great view as well, Maggiemae.

@kamb Haha! I love seeing anything unusual on walks and that is why I always take my camera! I expect we all do! Sometimes we see something and sometimes we don't! I would have been happy to see a hedgehog on a leash this walk!

@marlboromaam Yes they do too- - and look cute! But really, they are a bit big to cuddle on your lap!

I have a friend whose father breeds the smallest horses (supposedly in the world) smaller than those! Nice shot!

@rmkgreene my uncle (long gone) bred Shetland ponies. Different from miniature horses and of course came from the Shetlands! I have heard about these tiny ones but don't know what they are known as!

@maggiemae Honestly I am not sure either, but what got me when I saw them (as I had my own horses then) was their little tiny hooves and poops! LOL

Just glad you had your camera with you to capture this unusual sight.

@karenann They said these horses don't eat much, but they probably don't move much in the field so it's a responsibility!

This is cute!

Must be like taking the dog for a walk, big commitment! They look sweet little horses but would be more like having a pet than a proper riding animal.

I've never seen such tiny horses. Great photo, really shows their size.

Cute little horses, the one on the left with the big white star on his forehead reminds me of my first pony but even he was a bit bigger than these... they do look a little on the chubby side but so adorable.. what extraordinary happenings in your town never a dull moment!

So sweet. I just love those little miniature horses. What a lovely view behind them.

Someone in our neighbourhood has horses - they're just let out to roam around. The trot down the road eating the grass on the medium strip and footpaths. It's always a strange feeling.

@aleconstantine That would be dangerous here and illegal. Might cause an accident!

@maggiemae Yeah, I live in Mexico. Slightly different rules...
