Thisis taken from the Sydney Eye, 250 metres up. It shows the cathedral where I took the previous inside photo. This is the last of the Sydney photos I think as we have returned to Auckland in rather difficult circumstances! Due to storms over our destination area, the airport there was closed and we were diverted north to Auckland. This flight was delayed from Sydney by nearly 2 hours with a result that we arrived in Auckland around 1am. Now there was a further 2 hours delay while the staff tried to find over 200 passengers accommodation! We finally tumbled into bed at 3.45am! We were lucky with our bed as previously all we were offered was a mattress in the boardroom with 40 other people!
Wow! what a shot!
I noted no "3 good things" and justifiably so because of your circumstances. I am so sorry for your travel difficulties. Happy you are safe though tired!
Oh my! That sounds like a crazy trip. Glad you ended up with a real bed though. Hopefully this shot will remind you of the good parts and not the bad ones. Great shot.
You've really caught the feeling of height -- gives me vertigo to look at it! Traveling definitely has its downsides, especially when planes are part of the journey. I won't tell you about the time I spent 3 days in the Philadelphia Airport motel because of a huge blizzard that stopped everything on the East Coast -- planes trains cars and busses.
Well you will have some fun memories anyway! In about ten years you will say...do you remember........
Worth the climb to the top anyway & that cathedral looks magnificent...lovely & green in the Springtime.
