John belongs to the Lions Group and they elect presidents and various members to do certain jobs. John was President for 2 years but he wanted to get these old farmers into the 21st Century and there were a few die-hards who objected and he didn't want to stand again. Tonight it was held at a seaside restaurant in Moeraki and I shot this from outside. You can see roaring fire through the end window.
Though it is nice taking an active role in associations like this, it is nice to have others to take over as well. People become comfortable sitting back and limiting their involvement,
I always love looking from the dark outside to the brightly lit inside...always looks comforting & cosy even if the men are stamping their feet a bit! Old farmers are far too set in their ways ....why will they not look at different ideas? Sounds like a typical group having discussions ..everybody thinks they are right! You were a real Peeping Tom!
