The last trees to lose their leaves in South Carolina are the oaks. Some will hang on to their dead leaves until the new ones in the spring time push the dead dried ones off the branches. There are several varieties of oaks here. There's just something eye catching when the sunlight hits the last of these leaves on these trees. Little specks of warm oranges and reds just pop out of my woods.
This is so beautiful . . it looks like a magical forest. Great color of the leaves and texture on the trees. Wonderful job, Maggie. Did you process this at all? Do you have photoshop? I was talking to someone about photoshop and he said that it is not easy to learn. Don't think that I'll ever go beyond picassa or picnik. lol Sad!
I love the little spots of bright color! Wish I could see this. I live in a tropical climate and everything's just green all year round. Your photograph is beautiful.
@karenann Thank you, Karen! I did run 3 exp. through Photoshop's automate HDR. I have used Photoshop for about 20 years now and I still don't know all there is to know about it. Never say you'll go beyond, gal! There's PS Elements which is a lighter version of Photoshop that you could start with, then later you cold move to the full app! I would help you anyway that I can! There are lots of free tutorials on line, lots of free lessons, too! I'm sure you can do anything you set your mind to do! =)
@myautofocuslife Aww! Thank you so much, Livia! I lived in Orlando, Florida for about seven years and I know what you mean! It's nice to see trees and plants change with the seasons but, green is great, too! It is my favorite color! =)
Thanks for the comment, Maggie. I am so nervous with this new camera that I think I'd fall right over the edge trying photoshop. LOL I know that it does fabulous things . . and you've been using photoshop for 2 years? Wow. You can "out process" most people on here then. You should have my camera . . you'd know how to use it instantly. You're a beautiful person, girl. Inside and out. Love that new logo photo of you. Gorgeous!
@karenann 20 years, Karen! LOL! And I still don't know it all by any stretch of the imagination! I don't like to do much processing or editing of photos though. I'm a purest at heart when it comes to photography. I might increase the contrast and push up my shadows and highlights, increase the saturation a bit but, 80 percent of what I put up is exactly what comes out of the camera. I had a good photography professor back in college. I'm just not a great photographer! LOL! Mediocre at best but, at least I can stick to what I learned. Just wish I could remember it ALL! =)
@karenann Don't think about your camera! Just experiment! Your nervousness will disappear! Just take one technique at a time! Master one, then move on to the next. Just do it! LOL!
