@karenann After careful thought, I think this is one I should've saved to convert to black and white for the artist challenge. Shooting for black and white is a whole different ball game for me than shooting for color! I really didn't take a decent color shot all day. LOL! Appreciate your kind comments and visit, Karen! Most appreciate of them and your support. Thank you! xo
@dishaparekh176 Ha ha! I need to figure out how to get my bum in the picture so I can do what @joeboxster said and call it "rusty nuts and butts!" Thank you for your comments and visit, Disha! Always appreciated!
Dang it! Why can't I get my pictures so absorbed in this light I'll never understand!
Thanks for sharing and I do check-out the EXIF file for info.
Cheers to all !
@marlboromaam I've been having problems lately with the white balance. Your pic has the 'filtered look' of softness. I know how to capture the correct white balance - I just seem to be having a problem during post. I suppose I need to step back and stop being so dern critical of my own work!
Make sense?
Cheers...
I love those rusty nuts Maggie once again you've got great detail.
You mentioned converting to monochrome , I think this is an ideal shot for some monochrome work, mainly because of the superb tones and wide range of light , shade and detail
@phil_howcroft Thank you so much, Phil! It is in black and white! Check out my "Challenges and Themes" album when you have time. Always grateful your visit!
@marlboromaam Maggie I'm way behind, not had a good week from a photography point of view , I'm working through your pics as part of my 'catchup', I'll get to your monochrome soon :)
@michaelelliott Have to correct you sir... what you are looking at are machine bolts. Lag bolts (aka lag screws) are screws. Machine bolts have a nut! In the new world it doesn't make a difference, once rusted they are Manflowers!
@hown@michaelelliott Both ends look just alike, fellas! There was an old tractor on my place at one time and I think they probably had something to do with that and/or the machinery that attached to it, like a hay mower or a baler.
