$3.29 a gallon... It's gone down some. Ack! I am so far behind on your pics! A friend gave me ride to the UPS store to mail some packages today and held me captive the rest of the afternoon and night. Will take me a day or two to catch up! You know I hate to miss any of your pics! My friend also drives faster than I can shoot! LOL! Didn't get many decent shots on this drive-by day!
Yeah that gas is going down! Had to choose to spend time with my Dad this week or comment on photos. Hopefully I will get back on schedule with comments and views this week! Of course, now I have more time and want to do the mirror challenge a 2nd time!
Love your drive-by!! Great capture, Maggie ... I am glad that you got out and did something different today. Don't worry about comments and you sure don't have to comment on mine. I hope that you got to relax, have lunch together and maybe a "liquid" refreshment. You need a break, my friend.
Nice capture! Gas is $3.39 here, which is quite bit down from where it was. But I am sure that it will go right back up. I have been wanting to do a "drive by " shot, but it is hard to do since I am usually the one driving! Have some places that just need to be in a photo.

Nice drive-by shot! I rely on public transportation so the price of petrol doesn't have an impact on me directly. Still, inflation is hell on the wallet.

Such a great "drive by" shot. It is so cool with all the signs, wires, cars, colors, etc. Glad you had a day to just enjoy--you so deserve it. And, I won't even comment on the price of gas--oh, I remember the days when we paid $0.25 a gallon ; )
Great shot of every day America. Love to see the little differences between countries - the signage, traffic lights etc - but that Shell sign well I imagine it is familiar to most of us!!!
actually, this is a perfect 'typical day shot'!!! it portrays your day so well....believe me, I have been in the same position many times...doing what I have to do, enjoying it, but at the same time, wishing I could be doing what I WANT to do!!!

Wow 3.29 is a great deal!! It is 3.89 here! My husband drives to fast to take drive by shots lol. I still try though lol. I have been trying to catch up for a month lol. Sometimes it is hard to keep up. I hope you had a great time with your friend:)
I really like this - the colors for one but also just the drive by idea. And you sure are getting "a day in the life." We all struggle with this issue right now. Hope it wasn't really keeping you captive but you having fun!
I like this because it shows every day life and the overabundance of signs. I have a lot of difficulty capturing drive by pictures. Mine are often blurred due to the speed my husband drives. Gas prices went down here and then climbed up a bit. I got out every day to visit my mother. I hope the prices do down, down, down.
I really like this. It looks like a typical small town....almost vintage. Love the bright colors and natural scene. Good job with your drive bys, Maggie!

@northy A place that sells breakfast biscuits... an egg and back sandwiched between the halves of the biscuit, or sausage, cheese, steak or chicken. Like a sandwich only it's a biscuit instead of sandwich bread. And yes, held captive. I kept stating how far behind I would get with my 365 project and that I would be up all night trying to catch up, but my friend would not take me home until he was ready. LOL! Would do no good to protest much more than that.

@darsphotos Thank you, Darlene! How do we rate? California adds to the price of gas with taxes. California has mighty high taxes on everything. They have a lot of entitlements they have to support. South Carolina's taxes aren't near as high. We don't have all the entitlements California has.
CA was the same price when so many states were at $4.00 and then we as others went down then up. It is not about taxes here, it is purely about greed. The price of a barrel of oil is at an all time low. We ALL should be paying under $3.00 per gallon. Many states are going through what we are, actually the entire west coast, Oregon, Washington and the Great Lakes. My husband and I follow this mess and have to pay these ridiculous prices. They must think that all in CA are rich as they (whomever they are) get so wealthy.
