Had to pull from my old folders today - too cloudy, too wet and too humid out there. Anyway, I save all my plastic shopping bags to repurpose into hats, bags and anything I can think of. It's FREE crochet material! First you make the "plarn" and then you can crochet with it. This was the last beach hat and bag I gave to a friend as a birthday present. For anyone who wants to know how to make "plarn," there are several sites you can google that will show you how. I can imagine you can knit with it, too - with very large needles. I usually use a K size crochet hook.
