Juvenile female cardinal getting her fill...

Uploading early again as we brace for tropical force winds and rain moving into South Carolina from Idalia. We're already seeing those outer rain bands. They said to expect more than six inches of rain and winds over 30mph with gusts up to 60mph. That's plenty of wind for downed trees and power lines with rain soaked ground. Praying for our 365 friends in Florida! Stay safe!
Stay safe!
Love the photo.

Wow, I hope you stay safe. Terrific capture of that bird. I hope those birds have a place to shelter from those winds.

@shutterbug49 Thank you! I can't imagine where they'll shelter at this moment. Not a bird in sight at the feeder right now. They may have fled west of this mess.

Beautiful Cardinal. I hope all is well. Tons of power lines down in Flroida. At least 5-6 counties are completely without power. A friend in Live Oak says the population has increased by 50%. Lots of peope working hard to restore everything.

@danette Thank you, Danette. A few counties are under water in the low lying areas. We're okay. Hoping there will be no more need for restoration after this one. Idalia is enough and really too much.
