This part of my wisteria vine is about three or four years old. It's got a very tight hold on the deck railing now. If I can ever afford a new deck, it will have to be cut back. But for now, I'll let it hold on tight! I thought a little ELO was appropriate for this one. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKQsv1Q3ZNY
Have to shut down and unplug for a thunder storm! Be back when it passes!
Wow! I don't think I've ever had such a great response to a pic in my black and white album! Thank you all for the lovely comments! So sorry for the mass reply again. I need to catch up on your pics! The storm wasn't too bad. More wind and thunder and lightning than rain, I'm sad to say.
my wisteria did the same thing and our deck did need replacing...but we managed to build the new one without cutting it off or it breaking...now the new deck has a hole cut on each end for the two wisteria plants to keep winding and growing...maybe I can get a shot of them to post. this is so nice...again...a BW...I WILL try harder to get one posted...but I just love color so much!
@vickisfotos No chance of me getting a new deck anytime soon. LOL! But, if I had to sell my place shortly, the new owners would have to have it cut down. No way to do it without cutting it back. However, I'm sure it would grow back pretty quickly. It was great that you could do your new deck without cutting yours down or back! Give the black and white a try. I think it helps you take better color shots. We were not allowed to take color photography class until we had completed the three prerequisite black and white courses first.
