Per request. Yeah, this was a selfie made with my old Minolta using my tripod and Kodak Vericolor film. I scanned this image from the actual photo. Originally shot back in October 2004, I think - it's old - like me. It's going to have to do until I can get a present day image. Just imagine lots of gray/white hair - it's still long, lots of wrinkles on the face and about 50 pounds that HAS TO come off as soon as my knees can get fixed and I can walk more. I still have some film rolls in the fridge. LOL! I can't throw it out.
@marlboromaam nice to see you Maggie ! What a beautiful woman ! And despite the white hair and the gain of weight I’m sure you still are ! We are all going in the same way ;)
Oh this is so wonderful thanks for posting it... what an awesome pic and you have that lovely hat! Once again we have much in common... the rolls of film in the frig, the extra 50 lbs., wrinkles... I had the long hair in my teens and early 20s and once I cut it short it has been short ever since. Hey... the color on this is still in great shape... I used to shoot with VPS among many other films as well.
@kvphoto You are very kind to an old woman, KV. Thank you! I started using the Vericolor for color shots because I loved the blue tones it rendered. Used T-Max 100, 200, and 400 for black and white. Sometimes, I had to use Fuji if they were out of Vericolor and that's about all the 35mm film I used. Only took slide film in college and I can't remember what I used then. You and I are the reversal with our hair. I wore short hair in my late teens, 20s and 30s. After my divorce, I decided to be the old lady with the long white braid in a bun - a radical thing to do when everyone else was cutting all theirs off. LOL!
@marlboromaam I actually think you may be a few years younger than I am... and hey... we are not old just well seasoned haha! For B&W I shot Panatomic-X, Plus-X, & Tri-X. & slides mostly Kodachrome but if in a rush Ektachrome because I could process it or get it done locally... color negative film... not remembering all of them but I remember when Fuji Velvia came out... I loved that film. I still have Fuji film in the frig.
@kvphoto Interesting! Perhaps, I'll get my old camera out and use some of that old film. Maybe you could do the same. I hate having to mail it off for development, but the only way to get it done around here. No more of those lovely little huts where you could drop off your film and pick it up the next day. =(
@cocobella You are sweet, Corinne. You don't look at all hefty to me. LOL! I've seen your pics. =)
@dutchothotmailcom LOL! Thank you, Esther!
