Back Room by mcsiegle

Back Room

This is just a documentary shot. I finally got the walls painted in the back room and DVDs/video tapes out of boxes and onto shelves etc. AND I put up the little folding bed I got at a yard sale for $20. I suppose you might call it a cot -- shorter and more narrow than a regular twin bed (which I eventually want to have in there), but it has a decent foam mattress that proved quite comfortable Sunday morning when I crawled in to continue to sleep through most of the morning, having stayed up too late the night before. The cradle and antique doll were from Frank's mother's house -- as is the dresser. As you can see, the closet space turned alcove that the bed sits back into is NOT finished off. The cheap paneling that was in there harboring mold behind it was taken off long ago. At some point I'd like to put beadboard paneling in there, but not right now. For now, I am just thrilled to have that room actually set up as a guest room, so a visitor has another option besides Dan's room with bed inside the closet or fold-out couch in the living room.
The antiques are beautiful.
