Unfinished things. More specifically, my unfinished things --some of them. My old friend Jimmy has found them in a seldom-opened trunk. Old play scripts, pieces of art projects, wreaths yet-to-be-completed for Christmas, cross-stitch kit bought LAST Christmas but still not started (Did I think I could up my 'cred' with my fellow Deep Creek Needlecraft Club members who know I don't sew?), old chandelier that is on it's slow way to becoming a hanger for bird feeders, plastic crown for a get pushed challenge I got from someone so long ago I can't remember who it was. I gave her rain check, and SOMEDAY will get it done. Oh, and my lunch --leftovers getting colder.
For my current get pushed challenge given to me by Kali @kali66 to produce a piece inspired by the work of artist Mari Mahr.
@kali66@randystreat Thanks. Truthfully, those things are not usually in the old trunk. I took the blankets out and replaced with these items for the photo. My old hand puppet, Jimmy, looking on from the left I hoped would be reminiscent of some of the overlaid things Mari Mahr used in her photos. So Jimmy looks huge compared to the trunk and things in it because he's resting on the iPad shot of the trunk.
@joysabin Ha ha! All my unfinished projects could never fit into a trunk of any normal size. Those were gathered there for the photo only. Usually they are scattered with all the rest in various boxes, corners, stacks of paper, shelves etc etc with all the other "when I get around-to-it"s. Thanks! @dawnee Indeed I do need a round tuit! Had one but lost it. :-)
