Good heavens! Definitely not a self-portrait!

or: "Early Evidence of My Artistic Genius"

A picture my mom sent to my grandmother back when I was the appropriate age to draw this pig-nosed person. My grandmother saved it, and later it came back into Mom's possession. When my mother was downsizing, she gave me an envelope with this and other similar gems.

I offer this as my response to the get-pushed challenge given to me by Kali -- an artsy self-portrait for the 5+2 theme of the week.

@kali66 Here's your "arty" self-portrait. Perhaps a cheat to start with art done WAY before the start of this get-pushed-week.

@haskar so glad you recognized the art in my offering here!
@wakelys I think we’ve become a bit prejudiced with regard to pigs. Maybe cute, though our little guys might say it doesn’t do justice to their noble snouts.
@beryl Thank you. So glad you got a kick out of my artful endeavor.
@annied who wouldn’t secretly want to resemble a pig?
@kali66 Thank you, but maybe you should get your eyes examined. “Lovely?”

For your get pushed can you do something connected to your volunteering. Preferably featuring a cat. Sorry for the delay so hope that I have not missed the timeframe for you volunteering this week.

@wakelys We volunteer on Fridays. I’m sure I can do something with the shelter as the subject. As far as featuring a cat, I’d need to check with the shelter. It’s recently changed and is now managed by a shelter organization that also has one in another town — and I don’t know what their policy is re volunteers posting photos of animals on our own social media. Previously it was not ok. Perhaps if I give them copies of any good shots and include a link to the shelter web page on my posting, they might think it’s ok. Or possibly even a good thing. Stay tuned!
