The dinosaurs had never tried Nutella before. Neither had I. So we were all enthusiastic about this week's 365 Toys theme. There was at first much crowding around the jar, so I made them line up for their turn to take a taste. Yum! It was a big hit.
This was not, however, the shot they wanted me to take. When I got back last Monday from a week's vacation in Wisconsin, the dinosaurs were all very peeved at me for leaving them behind, causing them to lose their chance to play puzzles with the Toys on 365 (last week's theme).
They wanted me to draw a maze for them to navigate, using Nutella as the medium. Sigh. I did feel a bit guilty running out on them, having fun up in Wisconsin without them. So I actually got as far as spreading a thin experimental layer of it on wax paper and making some lines in it with my finger (licking the finger clean was fun), but all I could see in my mind was sticky, brown, dinosaur tracks throughout the whole house, so I scraped up as much as could be saved (waste not, want not) and told them it was NOT going to happen, and if I heard any more whining or complaints, I wouldn't let them even taste the Nutella. As you can see, they shut up and formed a line . Posing here are just four of the little guys. In actuality, the line stretched back considerably further.
