my get pushed partner Liana @kiwinanna gave me this quote from a blog to think about:
“I found a quote from Ansel Adams recently in a blog https://www.citiesatdawn.com/blog/ by Anthony Epes.
"A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense and is thereby a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety.” Ansel Adams
Anthony wrote: "Any light that is doing something and has some sense of expression. How can you tell that? Easy! If you look at it and it makes you feel something, then that’s interesting light! " My challenge to you is to capture some light that makes us all feel something.”
This first response to the challenge only qualifies as “capturing some light” in the sense that photography of any type is, by nature, capturing light (on film or as pixels). But what I wanted to capture, in terms of feelings, is the contentment I felt as a child with my beloved puppet Jimmy in bed with me as I slept, or my now threadbare stuffed tiger, Tigerface, or other favorite dolls I fell asleep with in my arms.
@mcsiegle Now this is a great sense of feeling depicted right here. A lovely 'warm' response to the challenge of showing feelings through the capturing of light. Nice response to eh challenge - so well thought out.
