Rainbow Lorikeets
The rainbow lorikeets have found our New Zealand Christmas tree. I'm sure that the lorikeets have increased in number this year.

Thanks Sally, you certainly know when they are in the tree. I can hear them more than see them because the tree is so big and they get into the middle of it :)

They seem to be, but I'm not sure that the willy wagtails nesting in the tree are happy to have them there :)

Thanks Bep, they are pretty birds, but not native to Western Australia. Some were released in 1968 and in some areas they have become a pest.

Beautiful action collage. Love the top left and lower right in particular. The bird just doesn't look real to my nyc eyes. Nor does the tree. lol
