taken through the windscreen.
We had to pull off the road to allow these trucks to pass. They trays that they were carrying are for mine trucks and they're about 8 metres wide.
The caravan at the left of the image belongs to friends that we were travelling with ( Our van is just as dirty). After spending several days driving on dirt roads, we have a big clean up to do.
@narayani It sure does, we came across 4 of these on the way home. We had a great trip. From Wooramel we headed up through the Kennedy Ranges and across to Mt Augustus, then back through Mullewa and Dalwallinu to home.
@golftragic It wasn't too bad. They have a couple of escort vehicles in front so you have plenty of time to get off the road. We also travel with a CB radio and the escorts report on the width of the load.
@merrelyn I've actually driven an escort vehicle a couple of times when we were transporting field silos to the farm. The CB would be very handy though, particularly when you've got a caravan on. PS I first thought they were pools too.
