my daily highlights from the „wild side“: 1 sundew

In the Plan B Album I will collect a few shots, that are my personal daily highlights from our currant Scotland trip. No need to comment.

1: tiny round-leaved sundew (drosera rotundifolia) on Sphagnum Moss. Always a joy to find them.

I have never seen this plant. The leaves look like jelly sweets! Very special.

@randystreat @angelar @lmsa Thank you for the comment. The sundew plant is a carnivorous plant and the drops are of a sticky liquid to trap little insects. The droplets glistening in the sun like dew, thus the name.

@mona65 How funny ... I don't even know where that is! I must check it out. If you come anywhere near me (Braemar, Ballater in the Cairngorms) be sure and tell me!!!

@jamibann We go with our inner flow and just plan for the next day, so we come upon things, you can not plan. Meanwhile we are in the West, somewhere in the Knapdales. I will happily let you know, if we get anything near your place. ;-)
