Flash of red month 2021 N°13 / Theme week 2: trinkets, treasures or trash
Those are some of my lenses, and they are here in the treasure-week for a symbolic reason. Most of them are not really treasures. My gear is not the most modern one. Some are old Minolta lenses, from my dad, my mother-in-law, or my hubby. One is fast, the others not so much. But don’t we say so often, it’s not about the gear, it’s about the eyes seeing the things, the imagination and the light.
This picture stands, for what photography stands for, in my life. It would be so easy to forget to take some time out for myself, while juggling commitments and a job. The 365 project has as great benefit on my mind, my body, my social life and my view on the world. So it is a treasure for me.
It forces me, to take some time for myself, every day, provides a way to declutter my mind, keeps me in better physical health, by going outdoors regularly, meeting people that became friends and opens my mind for the world.
Well, those benefits could be said for any hobby, true. Just have some passion, for what you do.
