In a casual discussion with my parents lately, we concluded that the cherry trees (left in the picture), that are so important for our region, are also a piece of "Heimat". I then mentioned, that this word is very specific to the German language, and that for exaple, there is no equivalen in the English language. At least not in one word. But I'm sure this specific feeling is in every person.

--> A place of deeper trust and safety. I'm extremely grateful for all this, when looking out of my window. But it brings tears to my eyes, seeing a spot of yellow in that blue sky,... knowing, that so many people loose their Heimat, their loved ones,... right now, in that very moment. But those tears also motivate me, to help wherever I can.
