A handheld memory shot from yesterdays fireworks over the lake, as seen from a higher place. The lights in the foreground are from the little boats on the lake and there is also a raft with a bonfire.
This was probably the last ever firework for our annual city summer festival. As they try to find a safer, quieter, and enviromental friendlier way to celebrate. Probably with drones,... I do not mind.
I really like fireworks and therefore I really like this photo. I'll be sorry to see fireworks go by the wayside even though I understand the rationale.
@randystreat I feel like you. I understand environmental issues but I also remember the fun and excitement of fireworks as a kid. I think I am not unhappy to be on the downside of life. I wish the best for the future and for the younger people who will inhabit it but I don’t think I have the energy to cope with all the changes that will be necessary.
This is a pretty display. I have been pretty impressed with what they can do with drones. Especially if helps the environment. A lot of regions around here are outlawing fireworks because of the extreme fire danger we have this year.
@aecasey Dear April How nice of you to write that you miss my posts. I'm ok, but I'm not on vacation but having a stressful time at work. In the process, I lost creativity and the ability to see the "light". But at some point it will come back. Hugs Mona
