I signed up for an online photography course, "31 days (lessons) to becoming a better photographer". This lesson was to shoot in manual (which I don't often do) and use the camera's meter to take properly exposed picture. (I always thought it was the camera's job to do that part.) So this photo represents my first assignment. S 1/25, F 5.6, ISO-400 I'm told I need to start paying attention to these numbers. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
You are gonna love this class. I learned how to shoot manual on my own, pretty much, then later took a 3-hour class at our community center. It really made sense to me after having experimented by myself first. I most often shoot in Aperture mode, but then Manual mode is a close second, because I want to be in control of all aspects of the shot (shutter speed, ISO, aperture, light). I think you will surprise yourself in a few months, at how proficient or confident you have become with the use of Manual mode. Keep us informed, will you?
What fun! I shoot in full manual mode and love the control it gives over the scene. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. This shot is great...I feel like I'm right there walking along...well done!
Thanks so much for all your kind words and encouragement. I will keep you posted! :)
