I was ready to shoot this image before I hopped in bed and crossed my fingers that I'd wake in time to capture it. I had my tripod set-up on the balcony, had all the setting ready on my camera, with a fresh battery and I even laid out some warm clothes to wear in the dark.
It was fantastic to see the milky way on the last night of our little vacation.
Someday I hope to get a photo like this!
