Jeff and I never went on typical dates way back when. We enjoyed walking through fields and forest identifying wild flowers and baking bread to meeting at night clubs and sharing a drink. So, it's not a surprise that celebrating our anniversary involved a trip to a local museum and a walk along the Delaware River before the celebratory meal. The Pocono Indian Museum has a self-guided tour which explains the history and culture of the Leni Lenape Indians which were indigenous to this area before the settlers came. This pot was unearthed in an archaeological dig not far from where I live. It's simplicity is more for practical reasons rather than the aesthetic minimalist style which is popular today. However, art and decor is not the reason this picture carries this title. Can you figure out why I named it this? I think you can.
Happy (late) anniversary! I always told Chris that I didn't want him to buy me anything for special days. I didn't need things; I needed him. So, our gift was to spend time together as you did today. I like that. It sounds like you had a wonderful and educational time today. I really like this...and I do see the image. So amazing how sometimes we can look at things differently.
