Same processing "recipe" as last week: color shot converted to black and white with selective coloring. While looking up the name of this beetle I learned it is not a good thing to find one on your plants! Oh well, it made for a good shot!
@httpgeffed Thank you Colleen! @henrir Thank you Henri!
I wish I could have done this in an oval, but the program will only do circles. But I do like how it looks.
look at that little thing, it looks like one of the nice guys in the garden, but you found out it's not? what damage does it do, pray tell? lovely shot, ann.
@chrismarfil thanks Chris! @lyno Thanks Lyn! @tanja_1211 thanks Tanja! @summerfield thanks Vikki. No, not too good for your plants. He likes to suck all the nutrients out of the stem and blossom. @granny7 thanks Linda! It's actually quite easy. Picmonkey has an effect called Focal B&W. Take the photo in color, then apply the effect. It will give you a circle which can be moved about the picture and enlarged or decreased depending on what you want to put back in color. You can also reverse the effect, making the whole picture color and one spot b/w if you want. @groovygirlrn Thanks Sheri! @alia_801 thanks Alia! @sangwann thanks Dione! @steeler thanks Howard! @allie912 Thanks Allison- he's a Spotted Cucumber Beetle. Cute but not good for your plants. @cimes1 Thanks Carole! @anazad511 thanks Ana! @kandernob thanks Karen! @prttblues thanks Bev! You CAN do this!
Stunning!
The other way to do it, btw, is to choose the 'b&w' option on picmonkey, and click on the brush which gives you a new window with 'original/effect' on it... you can paint back in dots of colour or full areas as you like. @granny7
@filsie65 Thanks Phil- I'll have to try it that way sometime- although it sounds harder, it probably works better on oddly shaped objects. @salza Thanks Sally!
