Beautiful color. I am hoping we get some color, but it cools and then gets hot again, so I'm not really expecting a lot. We are heading up New England/Canada way the middle of October, so maybe I will see some there, if it's not all past.
@espyetta Thanks MaryBeth! I love the colors, cooler temps, but I don't think I'm ready for the effect its going to have on my joints. @kandernob Thanks Karen! @automaticslim Thanks Andy! This is the only tree I've seen so far that has more color than not. We still have many trees that are green- mostly due to recent rainfall. @henrir Thanks Henri! I've got family in VT. and the colors are usually done by then, but you never know. The weather has been so strange this year that maybe the colors will last longer. @digitalrn Thanks Rick! @wenbow Thanks Wendy! @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian! @pjonas Thanks Patty! @cdonohoue Thanks Cathy! Around here a dry summer brings out brighter fall colors and it's been pretty dry for most of the summer. So, we'll see... @kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
i saw a large maple tree today and it was still all green, except for a branch right smack in the middle with very red leaves. did i take a pic? no. why? as i was taking a pic, a tourist bus passed and blocked my view. when it was gone, my bus had gone past the tree. drat! and it's coolish now in the evenings, yes?
Thank you Allison!

Thank you Vikki. Too bad- but we've all had that happen haven't we?
Thank you Sally!
Thank you Livia! You'd have a whole new set of spiders and bugs to photograph here!
Thank you Dione!
@daisy Thank you Kathryn! We do have some other trees along the roadsides that are starting to turn, but this was the first one I saw that really had the "fall feeling".
I really like this one - the fact that you captured the leaves just turning colors is really nice. I also like that the leaves are the entire shot , nice composition.
With the heat and the drought I don't know if we will have the rich color - and then we might. I just don't want winter.....
