Well, I pulled a triple header today, processing a shot for the artist challenge in my second album and shooting these leaves for both my final Same September shot and the One Night Stand SOOC shot! My "same something" has been leaves, and today's One Night Stand had to be straight from the camera. The only thing I did to this shot was to restore some of the clarity lost in transferring the data from the camera to the computer and to add the frame. I did not change the color or anything else. You can really see that the colors are coming on strong now. By next week end our hillsides will be awash with reds, golds, oranges and browns. But for now we'll close out September the way we began with a close-up of some lovely leaves and finish up the ONS week with a simple shot in its purest form. On to October!!
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @httpgeffed Thank you Colleen! @nancyperry Thank you Nancy! That's why I ended up choosing this photo over the two others I liked today (out of the 50 I shot!). @sparkleplenty1 Thank you Joyce- yes that's the reason I ended up choosing this one. @peterdegraaff thanks Peter! Yes, it's here to stay. @orangecrush thank you Jerry! It's been a good week and I enjoyed the different challenges each day. I also really appreciated your feedback on every shot and seeing the other entries too. I'll have to keep my eyes open for the next one. Thanks again for such a fun challenge! @hudamor Thank you Huda! @mrssmith Thank you Carla! @digitalrn Thank you Rick! @prttblues Thanks Bev! @sfeldphotos Thanks Sam!
Yes, thanks again to everyone and to whoever fav'd this shot! I'd been looking at two different shots to post but couldn't settle on either one. Even Jeff was indecisive about them- and he usually has an opinion! So I went back to the other shots I'd taken today and saw this one and realized I'd passed by something special. So thanks for confirming I'd made the right choice in scrapping the other two!
I love this Ann! Perfect ending to a perfect month of thumbnails!! I am going to try to do the October challenge as i do love these challenges i am also going to let myself get pushed !! i am so upset that i am not in P.A. right now and i totally planned this out so wrong!! i need to be there to take the leaves changing and get my last shot of the Barn in Autumn..but i have several doctor appointments in Oct. and then Steve might actually be able to come back to TX for good next month!!! I will miss the snow and the beauty of P.A. so much but the kids really cant wait to have thier Dad./ PaPa home...going on 3 years this March. So i am torn between flying back up there this week or just sending steve out for the shot i need!! I hate to fly so i guess it will be # 2!! See you in the October challenge..and thank you for your message the other night it was what i needed...:)
Nice autumn shot! I like the colours and patterns, especially the holes in the leaves :) Your calendar view looks great too! Well done Challenge Buddy! :)
@pjonas Thank you Patty! @ellimae Thank you Ellen! I'm glad- sometimes I get typing and when I'm done, I look at the massive paragraph and think- "oh boy- way too much said!" I'm glad it helped. @salza Thank you Sally! @sarasdadandmom Thank you Terry! @alia_801 Thanks Alia! Great job in setting it up! @sangwann Thank you Dione!
Your picture is golden. I like the whole month of this challenge and I'm thinking about repeating it with new subjects for October. I haven't seen your October opposites list though, is it up?
@daisy Thank you Kathryn! I'm glad you find them encouraging. @congaree Thank you John! I was actually out looking for a nice red leaf and saw this branch. I thought the holes in the leaves were very unique. @pandorasecho Thanks Dixie- yes, I tried putting it in the general discussion thinking it might stay on the home page longer, but my plan didn't work. You should be able to find it here: http://365project.org/discuss/general/14472/either-or-october
Cool leaves, nice holes and lots of green bokeh. Pretty ... I'd like to see either even more green or an all whitish background to make the most of the negative space because those leaves deserve it. ;-)
@automaticslim Thanks Andy! Interesting thought- maybe I'll dabble with it on a day that I don't have anything good to post. I'm writing myself a note...
