Playing around with overlaying textures today. You may recognize the trees from last week. A black and green version of them faded into the blinds on day 2. Piggy preferred the pink and brown version, of course!
@chrismarfil Thank you Chris! Just having fun and avoiding the fact that I have to go out in the frigid cold today and get some wood! A problem you do not have in the Philippines! I hope the clean-up is going well and smoothly in the aftermath of the storm.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri- I know it looks like a reflection- but only the mirror is a true reflection in this shot. @pflaume Thanks Lisa! I don't have Photoshop. I use several on line processing sites. This one was done in iPiccy. Their texture effect gives you the option of uploading your own texture, so for my first layer I used the trees and painted in Piggy and the mirror except for the light. The second layer of texture was a texture from their program- a weathered page of paper. @sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry! @bruni Thank you Bruni! How are you feeling? Good I hope! Right now I love that fireplace more and more with these bitter cold days making my joints ache! @digitalrn Thanks Rick! She keeps us smiling! @daisy Thanks Kathryn!
@alia_801 Thanks Alia! That's just the processing magic. In the original shot she's actually sitting on a card table that used to belong to my grandmother! @jesperani Thanks Jennifer! @cimes1 Thanks Carole! @smithak Thank you Smitha! @rachelmackenzie Thanks Rachel!
@pandorasecho Thank you Dixie- I really do just dabble and most of the time do not have anything particular in mind. @ruthmouch Thank you Ruth! One experiment after another.
Thank you Nada, Dione, Bev, Henri, Maggie, and Karenann! Glad you are enjoying this series. When I first chose this shot, I thought it would be an easy one to change up- but I'm finding that is not the case! I barely post one picture and I'm thinking about the next.
@summerfield Thanks Vikki! This was probably the simplest I've done all week (because I can remember what I did!!). Two textures were applied to the original- one a straight texture from iPiccy (on the bottom) and the second the shot of the trees (from my computer). Each time the texture was applied I painted Piggy and the mirror back in, but I left the trees in the light area when I applied them. It's not as hard as it sounds.
