I've been busy writing over the last two days, so I did not get out and about as I'd hoped to. Oh well, that's why I took so many candids on Monday when I was running errands!
What an interesting challenge this has been! I wasn't sure if I'd enjoy a month's worth of black and white photography, but I think I did. That being said, I'm looking forward to tomorrow and posting a colorful shot I've been saving up for a few days. I hope that everyone who joined in on this adventure got something out of it and had fun exploring or stretching themselves in this genre. Now on to March!!
@cnlane Thank you Nelly! I'm glad you had fun with it. I've been popping in on different calendars and they all look great! @lisabell Thanks Lisa! When I thought up the idea I had an idea it would look pretty cool but I really wasn't expecting the impact it has when you look at all the shots that way. It turned out better than I thought it would. @daisy Thanks Kathryn! I'm glad you stuck with it!
Cool perspective. Makes me think 'in a hurry'. I loved this challenge - I learned so much Ann. Thank you for putting this together. I'm going to attempt the Me March.
@tara11 Thanks Tara! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much. I did too! I'm also going to join Alia's challenge and I'll probably do a word or two from Bulldog's Mull Over March list as well. I can't believe it's March already!
I feel just like you did. I DID enjoy it! But I am ready to be unchained tomorrow! So it is a win win situation. Gave me a new focus, and then got me excited about the other things I like to shoot too! I see a lot of drive thrus.but with my restricted diet, I only get salads ....
You've done a fantastic job with your B&W's, Ann. It really draws my focus onto the picture, where I'm usually captured by the beautiful colors. Can't wait to see what you post tomorrow!
@summerfield Thank you Vikki! And thanks once again for being a faithful challenge buddy! This driver might have been in a hurry- it seems so when you have to get lunch on the run- but thankfully, I wasn't, so I was just getting a treat. @eudora Thank you Diane! I know I will continue to take them. I don't like getting too stuck on any format. But it was a good stretch to limit myself to them for the month. @prttblues Thanks Bev! It was a good challenge all the way around. @espyetta Thank you MaryBeth and thanks for hanging in there with this challenge! I do find that black and white actually makes me take better color shots- it makes me more aware of the nuances of color. I wasn't getting lunch here. I generally don't eat at fast-food. But I am addicted to those mocha frappes! As I'm trying to be more careful about what and how much I eat, it's a huge treat to get one now! @sandier Thank you Sandie! Something bright and colorful is on its way! @alia_801 Thanks Alia- well I was taking an undercover shot- it's just my camera can't get the details inside the car. This person might have been able to see me in their rear-view mirror if they had thought to look. And the employee could also have seen me if he had looked around the window. I had hoped to go to the store, but didn't make it. Oh well- some other time!! Glad you liked the challenge- and now we're on to yours!
@naomi Thank you Naomi! I generally like to flop back and forth in all the genres, it just depends on what suits my fancy that day!! @jesperani Thank you Jennifer! All these quirky angles are really due to the fact that it's a "shoot and run" type of photo! @automaticslim Thanks Andy- some get titles, some don't! I was hoping to have better shots to end out the month with, but didn't really get out until today- which was too late! So, the shots were rather boring in my opinion! Processing to the rescue! @allie912 Thank you Allison! I do like taking b/w in order to improve the way I see color and vice versa. It's been a good month, but I'm ready for March!
@jackie8 Thank you Jackie! I think this is becoming my signature for street shots- crazy angles! I like taking the shot quickly and hopefully before anyone realizes what I'm doing. Although on the crosswalk shot (which is posted two days before this one) I was not so "lucky". One of my subjects figured out what I was doing anyway.

@bruni Thanks Bruni! I'll be joining Alia's Me March Challenge http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/16728/me-march-challenge and working on a few of the Mull Over March words put together by Bulldog http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/16755/mull-over-march That should keep me busy enough!
