@jmrittle Thank you Marc! The simplicity of it just struck a chord and I took the shot. I had in my mind to process it as an old photo and it worked just as I expected it to.

@homeschoolmom Thank you Lisa! This one was processed in Picmonkey right here on 365. I like their Dauggertype effects. There's a little sepia thrown on this one too for good measure.
@digitalrn Thank you Rick!
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
@archaeofrog Thank you Katie!
@bkbinthecity Thank you Brian! It's a quaint little place that I know you and Melody would enjoy.
@summerfield LOL Vikki! I am trying to be good and stay away from sweets for a little while and you go and mention cake!

Ann the light really illuminates the texture on top of the hat. I also really enjoyed your article on 30 second challenge.
March 25th, 2014
Very well seen, Ann! You have a great eye, girl! Love the vintage processing, too!

We have a 'Flying Pig" cafe too! Glad this hat is remaining there and not being swiped!
March 26th, 2014
@maggiemae Thank you Maggie! I actually have a rather nice collection of hats and I used to wear them all the time. Perhaps this Spring I shall pull them out again!

Where I hang my hat, I'm at home. I know this was taken at the "Flying Pig", interesting name for a Café or Restaurant.
March 26th, 2014
@bruni Thanks Bruni! It's a very quaint little place but I didn't think to ask how they came up with the name. I will have to do that if I go back.
March 26th, 2014
Great composition and cool processing.
March 26th, 2014
@netkonnexion Thank you Damon! I had a feeling when I took the shot that this style of processing would be great for it.
March 28th, 2014
Love the processing! Hmmm I am going to have to check out that section of picmonkey! This looks great!
March 28th, 2014
@luvmynynix Thanks Laurie! The effect is called Dauggertype (I probably spelled that wrong) or Faded Dauggertype (Can't quite remember) and there are 3 different types to choose from. I think this one is "shiro" but I could be wrong. The other two are in a black and white format. This one is in sepia. The hat was brown so I chose the sepia application. There is also a Dauggertype frame- which is what I think I used here. I took the shot in color, converted it to sepia, applied a small brown/sepia colored vignette and then added the dauggertype frame. It's been a few days so I'm not sure if that was the exact processing procedure or not- but processing is always a big experiment/adventure with me. Sometimes I know right away what outcome I want and other times, it's play with this, play with that until something strikes me. On this shot, I just knew I wanted that aged/vintage style of processing because the hat looked like it came from a long-gone era.
