The perimeters for this competition are tough on my camera- no editing other than what could be achieved on film and in a darkroom. So my night shots have to be selected carefully. I could put my camera on the predetermined "night shot" setting but it usually triggers the flash and I really don't like the washed out lighting that is a result. So I braced myself for this one and adjusted the exposure in the camera to give our normally yellow back deck light a warmer golden glow. I may revisit this one for the actual shot I enter. I think I'd like the light a little less centered.
I am playing catch-up with my posts. Please do not feel obligated to comment on each and every one!
Nice shot, Ann! I like it as it is. It has the bell to the side of it and it works so well with the lighting. It draws your eye to it. I love how subdued the tone of the light is. It's perfect. I wouldn't change it, but then that's me. Fave for me :)
