Today's shot was designated as "minimalist" and defined as "extreme sharpness and simplicity". This shot is posted to wish all my friends who are celebrating Passover this week a "Gut Yontif", "Chag Sameh-yach" and Shalom! (And yes, this matzah is kosher for Passover!)
I will be playing catch-up with my posts for a while. Please do not feel obligated to comment on them all!
@mzzhope Thank you Hope! Was searching the house for an appropriate backdrop and had pulled out all sorts of placemats and such when suddenly I realized the old wooden bench I use for a coffee table was perfect!
@netkonnexion Thank you so much Damon! Noodling in my head with the next article for you. Sometimes these ideas take a little time to germinate! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @eudora Thank you Diane! @maggiemae Thank you Maggie! I have some sharp cheddar in the frig! But Passover matzah is best with charosset- a mixture of nuts, apple chunks, raisins and wine! @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian! @slash Thank you Susan! @ubobohobo Thank you Margaret! @yaorenliu Thank you Yao! This little bent has its share of them! @salza Thank you Sally! @lilminimonka Thank you Brianna! Matzah is made in a very specific way. To be kosher for Passover, those little holes have to go all the way through so that you can see through them. It has to be blistered, bruised and most importantly made without any leaven/yeast. There is a very rich tradition to this festival that has been carried on for thousands of years!
@orangecrush Thank you Jerry! Not much processing on this one- the matzah and the bench are great subjects for texture. @prttblues Thanks Bev! @cimes1 Thank you Carole!
@anazad511 Thank you Ana! I do know some Hebrew, but Yiddish, no. I had that written down in some notes. Although I am not Jewish, I love the holidays and the significance they hold. @summerfield Thanks Vikki! My favorite thing with matzah is charoset- a mixture of nuts, raisins, honey and wine. But I did have some chocolate covered matzah once and since I practically ate the whole box in one sitting I realized I should not buy it again- too dangerous!
