Hi Ann! I got a tag from you SOMEWHERE again about maybe starting a "toy group" to post pics? I cannot find that tag now, so not sure where it is. But...I would participate but cannot lead it because I am just too busy at work and with life. It could just adopt the main theme for 365 as far as that goes. I could do a day with Minion or other toys, you could do a day with Piggy, Katy could do a day with Wooden Man or her minion I gave her, Vicki could do a day with Little Wahoo, Maggiemae could do one with Yolanda and Mr. Man...That is 5, right? Who else? I did some research on here and here are some others IF they would do it. I think it is going to be hard to get people to commit to it though....but if you or Katy or any one else led it, I'd join and do my pic/ post. Thursday might be a good day for me. Other suggestions Bill Fenske has several toys, Mr. Spock has Sockboy, Humphrey Hippo has hippo/storm trooper/danbo, Spanner has a danbo, Hope Jennings seems to have a Danbo.... And all those guys post regularly on 365. I think it would be alot of fun. And you know? If we tried it....did a week or two..then we don't have to do it every single week. We could declare a few weeks off, then we could do it again. Let me know.
I can't manage it, but if it's just once a week posting, I'm game. I need something to inspire me and depending on my knee, it may be good to hae something that doesn't require a lot of walking!
@espyetta I don't remember where I wrote it either! But I do remember what it was about. I had been thinking of this idea and realized it might work like the 5+2 folks do theirs. They seem to pick a topic per week and then whoever wants to shoot the theme along with them, can. I guess the 7 who are in it have someone designated as the "idea" person and each one of them commits to post something during the week on that theme but the day and style is up to them. So, if we did it that way, we'd be committing to one day a week and someone would be responsible for choosing the subject (or that could rotate, but then it gets a bit tough to keep track of who's turn it is).
Another thought was to choose one day a month (let's say the 5th because every month has at least five days for example) and call it "Celebrate your Toy? Muse? Whatever??? Day" pick a holiday or theme or whatever for that month and invite everyone to post a shot of their Danbo, Minion... etc. on that day. I thought it could even be fun to take suggestions like the word list people do, put them all in a hat and pull them out to decide what theme.
Of course the simplest way would be to just pick a week (sort of like the One Night Stand challenge) with different set-ups for each day and do it quick and easy. I've just finished a month with the Critters and I'm not really into long term challenges at this point. And I certainly understand that you do not have the time! So maybe the KISS ("Keep It Simple Sister") principle is a good idea here. I think everyone feels like their time is at a premium. Let me know what you think.

I am happy to help out with ideas and would be glad to fill in as the "host" when needed but I just learned yesterday that I've been nominated to be a VP of our camera club (which basically means that I am now a VP of our camera club!). This was not what I expected and I'm rather hesitant to take on the role, but others feel I must and that it will be a great asset to the club. (I definitely have my doubts about that!) At any rate this may take a lot of my time or not have an effect on my time at all, I'm not sure yet. So just in case, I don't want to commit to something I might not be able to follow through on. So, thank you Debs for being willing to be our main coordinator!!
As far as fellows to invite along, the only two I know of are Bill @bill_fe and his Cubebot and @bulldog and his wonderful assortment of little people and his "bots". Interested fellows??

Seems to me a specific day to post the theme is good and it then gives the people all week to post a shot, choosing whichever day is best for them. As Monday is the first day of the week for most of us, should that be the "announcement day"?

like fiveplustwo and the madhatters, the theme is announced on the sunday and/or early monday morning. each person has a designated day to post. i like the format of madhatters where they have two "back-ups" so that there is no slot or day that's left vacant when one member is unable to post. alternatively, as i've stated previously, i have two other mascots that can play back up. we can take an ace membership so we can have two albums, one public and one private so that we have one place for group discussion. i can take care of that, no problem.
a group name i have is "toyables" it's not a real word but that's what came to mind.

@dibzgreasley No problem Debs! I LOVE "It's a Toy's Life"! Yes, let Taffy choose first and anyone else with a demanding schedule. I don't have a problem with any day of the week as I'll be starting a third album for this I think.
Yes, Vikki offered to set up the account. We're good to go as soon as that's done, so I don't know if it will be ready by Nov. 10 or not, but that sounds like a good start date to me. Oh dear, I have to think up another bio! I have a hard time knowing what to write!!
Perhaps our first theme could be a take off on those name tags that say, "Hello, My Name Is..." and we could use this as a way to introduce one (or more) of our toys.
As for future ideas, I will give that some thought and write a few on a list to give you over the next day or so and I'm sure the others will have some to offer too.
