If it hadn't been so chilly and overcast yesterday, I might have explored this road across from the barn. But between the cold and all the hunters I saw roaming around with their hunting dogs, I'm not sure it would have been comfortable or safe!
I have been meaning to check you out for sometime. In October you did think pink with my sister Janice. But I still work and can't always find time to do everything I want. Thanks for the lovely post this on the picture I posted last night. Seems like we posted pictures that could posted side by side as they show that kiss of snow that happened yesterday. I got the impression somewhere that you are a fellow New Englander and I find that exciting as I haven't found that many on this site.
Lovely shot, Ann. It's perfect in b&w. Start wearing orange so you will be safe in the woods. Don't let the hunters scare you off. I can understand about not wanting to venture into the cold! I am wearing 2 layers of socks because my feet are too cold!!
I am overwhelmed by all the great comments! Thanks so much everyone! I love this shot so it really makes me happy that you loved it too!
A special thanks to Graham, Candace, Hope, Bill, Khawbecker, Mike, Kathy and Joyce for the favs!
@creativeaddict Laur thanks for the fav but I think you forgot to click the button as it's not showing up on my stats!
As to all who suggested the orange vest- if I see one in my travels I've thought about picking one up- so it's in the works. As for now, there are only certain areas in the State Park where this road (and the barn) are located that hunters are allowed to hunt. It's well marked, so I am not in any danger at present (in other words, I know where to be and where not to be!). And they can only hunt on certain days so you know when to be extra careful. Thanks for your concern!
@joansmor Thank you Joan! Oh- sister act! How fun that you're both on here. I live on the eastern side of Pennsylvania- near the Delaware Water Gap. Not quite New England but close. Seems to me, I've had a few folks over the years who were from New England but right now, I'll introduce you to Bev @prttblues (see her comment above for a picture) who lives in VT. near the NH border! Give her a follow- she's a faithful friend/follower and loves to get comments on her pictures.
@digitalrn Thank you Rick! Mark your calendar for Spring, come on up, and we'll explore the barn and the road with our cameras. Bushkill falls is not too far from here as well.
This is a lovely shot, great line with the hilly road, really keeps the viewer's interest. Pretty cool!! As well as pretty and cool (b&w)!!
Ina send you a big : Thank you
