Posting a few more shots from my trip to the Sunflower maze in Sandyston, NJ. It was the perfect day for taking shots of the sunflowers against the blue sky but for some strange reason I pushed the ISO on my camera to 1600. I really don't know why!! As a result, many of my shots came out a little on the bright side! Some actually make great high-key shots, but others have since been deleted- no rescuing for them! This one wasn't so bad and even though I was able to actually bring it down a bit, I ended up putting it back up because I loved the electric way the yellow meets the blue.
I have accidentally done the same thing myself! I can remember loading my shots of the day onto my computer when I noticed a lot of noise. I thought, "what in the world caused that?" When I checked the Metadata I saw that the ISO was 3200. While it didn't brighten the shot, the camera compensated for the high ISO there was no amount of processing to hide the noise.
@juliac Thank you Julia! @skipt07 Thank you Skip! Had to laugh at myself because I'm usually so slow about adjusting this camera- talking myself through the process because I'm not quite sure what I'm doing! But for some reason I just cranked it up without thinking! Oh well, I'm having fun with the processing and it's close enough that I could go back again.
