Flash of Red 6

I was looking for another pattern today and Jeff was looking for some "music shots". We found a very happy medium!
Fun abstract, Ann!

Great shot, I love how the intensity of the shadows under the strings shows the width.

Beautiful light and shadows of course and love the patterns in the guitar strings (guessing it's a guitar but on closer observation thinking it isn't! )

Thank you Taffy, Karen, Barb, Alia, Nicole, Smitha, Joyce, Martina, Chris, Tommy, Alta, Nina, Suse, Sally, Kim, Brian, Rick, Katy, Wendy and Jerri!

@grammyn You were correct- it's a Fender Stratocaster (electric).

@moreyoulessme LOL this crop was not the original composition. I had photographed a much larger portion, but it included a little "trick" Jeff has invented and he didn't want me to show it. I didn't want to take another picture so I ended up with this. I'm glad it worked out that way because this is far more dynamic than the way I originally took the shot.

Such a neat image! I love the combination of lines and curves. Awesome shadows, too.

This is one of those photos that keeps revealing itself--first the patterns and shadows, the size of the strings, then the focus. . . . Very nice!

@grammyn Think Southern Rock- I know you can because you're from the South!!

@kategoring Thank you Kate!
@grammyn Ohhhh- well, I'm sure you're familiar with the music. It's a very popular electric guitar- crosses all kinds of rock genres but Jeff mostly plays classic rock, Southern rock and blues rock with it. If you want to see him in acoustic mode though, you can find him on YouTube as Bigfatskinee.
@bokehdot Thank you Michelle!
@beachdog Thank you Barb!
