If you answered with any of these combinations, I'd say you were correct: Christmas lights, Christmas decorations, candle, lights, Christmas, holiday... etc. The candle was made by my sister quite a few years ago now- a reminder of one that my mom used to put on our dining room table. My sisters and I loved that candle because it looked like a snowy ball of ice cream with holiday sprinkles on top. This year Diana's version is sitting inside a bowl with glass pebbles and silver jingle bells. The bowl has lights in a wreath around it and it was a centerpiece at a wedding we attended this year. Talk about repurposing!
Thank you Kim, Lou Ann, Dawn, Joan, Henri and Katy! I'm glad you liked the decoration. I put it together as a way to keep the centerpiece (something I didn't want but the bride was insisting I take) from being in the way but it's kind of grown on me!
@grammyn Thanks for asking Katy. It has not improved and I started to research alternatives to surgery. Stem cell replacement therapy looked really good. I even found a place that uses your own stem cells, contacted them and learned it would cost anywhere from 6 to 8 thousand (!!!) dollars out of pocket. Sadly we do not have that kind of cash lying around- even with the payment plan they offered. Insurance doesn't cover this procedure. So it was back to the drawing board. I am now looking into accupuncture which at first I thought was only for pain management but turns out you can use it to heal and restore a torn meniscus. I am not excited about this route (although it is affordable) because I am sooooo afraid of needles- but- as the second knee is now starting to give me trouble, something must be done and this is probably going to be it. There are three practitioners here in my area and the wellness center I go to also has an accupuncturist on staff. So with a little more detective work I should be able to come to a decision and then I'll just need someone to come and keep me distracted while they stick all the needles in me- otherwise I just know I'll be too distraught!
Been thinking about you a lot just recently and wondering about that knee. How are you doing?
