Yesterday's snow was coated with a thin sheet of ice overnight but as the sun rose it began to melt and turn into a lovely mist on the forest floor. Once again the trees composed a nice leading line for me. I decided to keep this one with a soft focus to enhance the look of the mist.

When there is fog like this it means the temperature has risen above what is average winter temperatures- so even though it looks like it's cold, it's not. In fact about 15 minutes after this shot was taken the sun was out in full-force and by noon it was close to 50 degrees F. which is really warm for February!
@maggiemae The fire was going all night but by late morning I'd let it go out. It was too warm to be running it!
