Artist- Touch Me I'm Sick (yes, I thought "ewww" too!), a song released by the alternative rock band "Mudhoney" in March of 1988. It's popularity on college radio and driving guitars helped to develop the Seattle grunge scene. It is considered to be a grunge classic.
The title comes from this quote- "Those who choose not to empathize enable real monsters, for without ever committing an act of outright evil ourselves, we collude with it through our own apathy." J. K. Rowling
Thank you to one and all for the views, comments and favs! It was an odd band name and title so I really went for a sickly apathetic feel. I guess it worked!
What a difficult challenge you picked for yourself here Ann. I wouldn't have known where to begin. but you have illustrated the title with great expertise - suggesting so much through the expressions and postures of the two people gracing your album cover.
@helenhall Thank you Helen! Believe it or not, they are not "real" people but life-like statues at the New Jersey Garden of Sculpture. They are part of a 3-D replica of a painting- I can't remember which Impressionist it is- but it's from that era. Their expressions and posture as you say were perfect for this quote.
( I spoke to the farmer and he told me that`s a part of the game.)
