My feeble attempt at imitating Gustav Klimt's portrait entitled "The Black Feather Hat". Before you complain that you can't see my face, remember it's all about the HAT! And it's all about Gustav's style as well. He never fully revealed his model's face in his picture, so even though I could lighten mine, I opted not to. This hat belonged to my grandmother. She was quite the hat fashionista. When we sorted through her wardrobe, she had over 80 hats!
@mrssmith Thanks Carla- I was really hoping it would make the artist challenge list, but no such luck. I think my problem is that I don't copy the artist, I do my own version of their pictures. It seems that all the photos that make the list are copies. I just can't bring myself to do that! I used to wear hats all the time. Sort of got out of the habit in the 90's. But it was fun to put it on for the picture.
@cimes1 Thank you Carole. Don't feel bad about missing them. At the end of the month I uploaded a bunch of photos all at once to fill out my second album. This one was in the mix of all those other photos. I never expect folks to comment on all of those photos because technically they're not part of the current project even though they're usually "leftovers". I've got all those dates filled in now, so if I end up with extras I might have to open the third album- and then I'll be OCD until I fill in all the back dates!!
@olivetreeann You are welcome. I try to catch all my friends photos ---very entertaining. We are at the beach now & I can already see a lot of neat shots to capture.
@digitalrn Thanks Rick!
@karenann Thanks Karenann!
Your comments have made my day!!
