Someone recently said on a discussion thread that a photo of swans was guaranteed a spot on the popular page. I have my doubts about that, but thought I'd give it a try (lol).
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @ulpiphotos Thank you Ulpi! The processing was done in iPiccy and it's their advanced HDR effect. Thank you so much for the fav! @kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi! @lyno Thank you Lyn! @wenbow Thanks Wendy! @digitalrn Thank you Rick- although I have a feeling it won't qualify after all seeing that the date I took it was in mid-June. I guess I forgot to post it!
@dmariewms Thanks Marie- yup a family affair! @groovygirlrn Thanks Sheri! It's the advanced HDR effect in iPiccy. @filsie65 Thanks Phil! @salza Thanks Sally! @sangwann Thanks Dione! Were you rooting for Spain yesterday? @mrssmith Thanks Carla!
AnnI like your processing of this swan picture. sorry to comment on all of your movie challenges in this comment as well.. like to say that it feels to me as if you put all your heart and soul into this challenge. all of your pictures speak to me. very nice processing.
I thing it's about time I try some challenges ..but first I've to see if I can finish this thumbnail challenge..not sure if I understand next weeks challenge - lines.
@bruni Thanks Bruni! Oh- it's ok to double up on the commentary. I'm falling way behind on mine! I've been enjoying the challenges. They help narrow down the vast photo opps each day presents- keeps me "focused" haha! And for the most part I don't run into dry spells with them either. As far as next week's thumbnail- the object is to take lines- whether horizontally across, vertically or wavy, photograph them day by day and then make them cohesive from thumbnail to thumbnail. So for example, if you chose a horizontal line that ran across the bottom third of your photo on day 1, the next day you would chose another subject that had a horizontal line that ran along the bottom third of your photo so that it matched day 1- and so on throughout the whole week. The horizontal line is probably the hardest. I've decided to do vertical lines with staggered width because I think it will be the easiest and most natural line pattern to match up across the thumbnails- and I'm starting to collect ideas now so that I won't have to be scrambling for shots next week. I hope that helps! Some challenges are weekly and if the month long is overwhelming they're kind of fun. The nice thing about this month's challenge and the one Alia and I made up last month was that it was divided into weeks- which made it more versatile and achievable. Hope you're having fun with it! You did a nice job on the rainbow!!
@olivetreeann I can picture the horizontal line somehow but not the vertical one. will have to see someones picture first next week. thanks for the explanation Ann.
