In honor of my faithful follower Nicole Campbell who designed this challenge, I'll be dedicating the first week of October to her rainbow colors. I was all set to post a lovely red flower picture when this fellow popped up on my window screen (outside not in) and he was red! So I snapped a quick picture of him and changed my plans. I believe his official name is Eastern Daddy Long Legs. I'm sure a bug expert will correct me if I'm wrong. In the mean time, he's starting off the rainbow for me.
Thank you Kerri, Maggie, Chris, Janet, Bobby and Lyn! It was great to be able to open the windows for a bit today as the weather warmed up and that's when I discovered him. Yes, Lyn, I thought the screen gave the shot a cool texture.
Thank you Henri, Bev and Colleen! Yes, it looks like I've started the month off on the right color! But don't worry about this fellow- he'll run away from you before you can get the second shot off.
@digitalrn Thanks Rick! We have those too- I don't know if it's a male/female thing or an entirely different species, but I've seen them both throughout the summer.
Thank you Diane, Patty, Sally, Phil, Dione, Carole, Peter and Andy! I know it's hard to see but this shot is actually taken through the screen, so Daddy was outside whilst I was inside. So what you think is the background, is actually the foreground. And the lighter colors that appear to be part of the background in reality are the background. Trick photography!
@nicolecampbell thanks Nicole! I'm actually looking forward to purple because I bought a new piece of purple glassware at a yard sale in the summer just for my next rainbow on 365- so that will be making its this week.

@peterdegraaff lol - bet you're thinking what I'm thinking.
