Painting With Renoir 1

Is it live or is it Memorex? Some of you will have no idea what that means! So let me put it this way...Is it a painting, or is it a sculpture?

Thank you Kerri, Jerri, Maggie, Sally, Cindy, Nicole, Dione and Yao! I was thinking of teasing you all and saying, "It's neither- it's a photograph!" but that wouldn't be nice (o: It is a life size sculpture of Renoir's "Sailing the Seine" set in a cove of this lake. I did soften the the focus slightly- but this is actually what it looks like in "real life". You become a part of the painting/sculpture. I am not sure Yao, but you could be right. My book on Renoir is buried in a box in my attic and I can't get to it right now! But that sounds right.

Thank you Kathryn and Bev. This place was really wonderful. Most of the sculptures were completely accessible. And visitors were encouraged to interact with them. Just after I took this shot a family came and had a group photo taken with the couple- so funny to see the combination of modern dress with these two.
