Milford businesses open their doors for Halloween and the town comes out to "trick or treat". Our church is located right in the heart of the business district, so each year we not only open our doors, we have music, games, popcorn, puppet shows, movies, and hot dogs out on our front lawn. Two years ago we were snowed out, and last year Hurricane Sandy cancelled the festivities. This year we did have some raindrops to contend with, but not enough to stop the activities or the children from having fun. As the gray day faded into evening, I liked the way the light inside the door was reflected on the wet sidewalk.
@cimes1 Thank you Carole! We always enjoy it. The costumes are fun and many people tell us that our church makes Halloween enjoyable for them. The original looked good too but something made me think it would look fun as a painting too.
Nice shot, Ann! Cool processing, too! I love the idea of businesses doing that. We have a mall who does the same thing. You can bring them to the mall and there they can get safe candy. Well done :)
Thank you Timothy, Yao, Jackie, Nicole, Dione, and Terry! It's a great outreach and the community loves it- perfect combination.
