I tried to explain to the Critter Tribe that the October word for today was Fall, not FALLS, but they insisted a group shot at Niagara Falls was exactly what the list makers intended. Sometimes they get something stuck in their head and there's no persuading them otherwise! Next thing I know, they're gathered at the feet of this little girl and getting a group shot! Silly critters!
Thanks to the wonders of photo-processing it looks like we had a lovely day at the Falls but truth be told it was cloudy, windy and quite brisk! Still, it was great to visit with Vikki again (@summerfield) and I will be posting more from my trip over the next few days.
uhm...wait a minute! the sky was never like that when we were at the lookout! hahahaha! did you know i was in awe of the beautiful sunset during my train ride back home? the trees and the wild grasses were so beautifully golden hued! and after the sun had set, there was a sliver of a moon to amuse me. i just wished we had that sky earlier. but the company was great so there's no complaining, right? :-) i'm saving for the helicopter ride. hey, when i win the lottery sooner, why, we just might buy our own helicopter! wouldn't that be fun! :-D
I don't know why I never made it to Niagara Falls. But looking at this picture it looks too cold for me. I love how you got the photographer in there looks like he's taken a picture of the creditors too.
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @bill_fe Thank you Bill. I think I may need help. This is starting to be too much fun! @summerfield LOL the magic of photo-processing! I shrunk the table shot down to look natural around her feet. I added the texture of the sky and "erased" the original picture back in. You know I'm going to have butterflies in my stomach the entire ride, don't you?! But if there's one thing I've learned - when something spectacular like that presents itself, don't pass it by because it may never happen again! @maggiemae Thanks Maggie! Actually they were unabashedly edited in during post-processing! @homeschoolmom Thanks Lisa! When my younger son married in August of 2006, we went to the Falls the day afterwards. It was sooooooo hot! I think July and August are probably the only months it does get hot there, although the first time I met Vikki it was in July and that day it was rainy and damp! @salza Thanks Sally! @ceilidh Thank you Margaret. In reality the sky was a dreary gray, but I put a blue sky with puffy white clouds there instead. @digitalrn Thanks Rick! @janiskay Thanks Janice! You would probably enjoy them on a sunny summer day, but it's true, since the Falls are "up north" it's a bit colder there! @daisymiller Thanks Daisy!
@prttblues Thank you Bev! @maggiemae Thank you Maggie! It means without shame or apology (or something like that!). @pyrrhula Thank you Pyrrhula! Yes, a candid of a father photographing his daughter. I added the critters in later.
