Our photo club was involved with a community service project today. We set up three studios in the Head Start school and took family portraits for the students and their families. Here's one of our expert photographers at work with an ADORABLE set of twins. And let me tell you they knew how to work the camera and the camera loved them!!
I see he's shooting with a long telephoto. I was wondering why he so far back until I looked closer at the rig. But are the strobes in the umbrellas really close enough?
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @frankhymus Thank you Frank! Yes, Dick is very particular about lighting and such. I am learning a lot from him (although it's not sinking in as quickly as I'd like! Slow brain!). He took several shots before the first portrait to get everything in balance. I wish I could tell you the technical answer but suffice it to say, if they weren't close enough, he would have adjusted whatever was necessary to get it right. That's Dick! @dibzgreasley Thank you Debs! It was a really cheerful place. @salza Thank you Sally! It was. I'm already looking forward to next year. @joansmor Thanks Joan! Yes- it was. I didn't look through it, but at one point he said, "I'm too close" and moved back a bit more! @nicoleterheide Thanks Nicole! It's a win-win situation. We love doing it and the families are pleased as punch with the shots. @digitalrn Thank you Rick! @altadc Thank you Alta! @fullcircle Thank you Cindy! @vesna0210 Thank you Vesna!
@daisymiller Thanks Daisy! @espyetta Thanks Marybeth! It seems that way, but he wasn't that far away and he also had a huge telephoto lens on his camera!
