I don't really believe in "luck" but that was the March word today, so I pulled out this shot from the group I took for Katie's senior recital. I know some folks think horse shoes are good luck charms. I do think there are times when things happen- right place, right time- but to me that's just timing.
The background texture is lovely. Very nice composition. I have always thougt that it must be quite painful for horses to have horseshoes put onto their hooves since they get nailed on!
this is perfect for the mad hatter's superstition theme this week. we used to have a horseshoe at the top of our door back in the old country. we were rat poor of course!
@aikimomm Thanks Phoebe- it's a combo of the marble top dresser I took the shot on and a texture added in post-processing.
@mzzhope Thanks Hope! Done. @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @whimsicalgrateful Thank you Marta! @bruni Thank you Bruni! @salza Thanks Sally! Me too- but I think I remember hearing they don't feel it there- but you are the horsewoman, not me! @summerfield Thanks Vikki! It's been tagged as requested! @mzbull Thanks MZ! Actually this shot was not taken with that in mind BUT it just happened to fit the word of the day! I don't think I knew that though.
Nice shot, Ann and cool processing. The horseshoes are supposed to be the other way to catch the bad luck (or something like that) but then if you'd done that, it wouldn't make this photo look so nice. Love the rose. Nice touch.
@prttblues Thanks Bev! I didn't know that about the horseshoes- you and MZbull did though! Thankfully for Katie's poster, there's no reference to luck- it's just a promotional shot for her Sr. recital- so I'm in the clear for that!
@mzzhope Thanks Hope! Done.
