Bent's Theater in Medina NY was originally a vaudeville theater and it's auditorium is unexpectedly on the third floor. While the balcony area is impressive and quite photogenic, my eyes were first drawn to the stage area which is devoid of all its theatrical trappings now. This window was located in a storage room off of what was once the stage. In the color version of this shot the soft muted and faded colors dominate the scene, so I converted it to black and white, brought out a little contrast in the window and then softened the focus there while leaving the peeling paint in sharp focus for today's Architectural August shot. This week it's all about windows and this one caught my eye back in May of this year.
