Have you ever seen those plaster statuettes people put in their gardens that look like Bambi? Well, here in the Poconos, we have the real thing.
I took this shot on a morning walk in 2013. The home you see in the background is not mine, but it's very typical of the architectural style in our community. Most of the homes here were originally built as vacation homes but over the years more and more have been converted to full-time homes.
Nice shot. As much as my neighbors do everything in their power to keep out the Bambi creatures, I love having them visit. If only they'd eat the poison oak.
I know you must all think it's wonderful to have them around so much but the thrill has definitely worn off for me! They decimated my gardens this year so I have a hard time liking them right now! Too bad they don't like Dandelions- nobody wants them and they grow abundantly!!
