Any chance of you describing how you processed this for us newbies at "artistic" processing?

What Berni @bernicrumb said! Great Constable-esque shot

Your processing has given it a real painting effect. There are some lovely colours in there. I would like to see the original.

@bernicrumb Thank you Berni! I am always glad to share the process as long as I can remember it! Sometimes I play around with a shot for a long time and then forget what steps I too to get it where it landed. But good news for you! This one was simple! I use a program called Smart Photo Editor. It is extremely affordable and has tons of different effects you can put on your photo as well as the usual (sharpen, contrast, etc). For this shot I first brought out just a little more color by raising the contrast and adding some vibrance- but not very much- just enough to feature the red a little bit more. It was an overcast day with only a little patch of blue showing through every now and then. After that I went into the part of my program that has artistic effects like "watercolor" "ink" and "oil painting". Within each of those categories there are plenty to choose from. I picked "oil painting" as that was Constable's usual format and then I looked for something that was similar to his style. I'm not exactly sure if I remember the name of this one, but it was something like "water enhanced landscape". I used that one because it gave the sky a slightly blue tint and I liked that better than the gray. That's it in a nutshell (oh and I added a frame around the edge).

@pistache see above Clare!

@barrowlane Thanks Rob. I didn't post the original of this shot, but here is another post of the same bog: http://365project.org/olivetreeann/themes-and-comp/2015-10-24
